Is America moving in the "correct" direction?
So just how do you evaluate if a country is moving in the "correct" direction? I was going to use "right" but it has to many political connotations. While politics plays a significant role in setting the direction of a country, there are other major influences.
I decided the value of a countries currency is one measure. I offer this two year chart of the United States Dollar (UUP) vs. the Canadian dollar (FXC). I choose two years to reflect the Obama Administration and evaluate what investors and those wishing to preserve their wealth think of the direction America is moving relative to its largest trading partner and next door neighbor.
YIKES! President Obama, firing your economic team was a good idea, but Timmy G is going to sink any hopes of a second term.
