Baseline Charts for 2011

One of the most popular posts was "Baseline Charts for the New Year" posted  January 2, 2009.  Well, I have updated those charts and added a couple of ETFs to the mix.

SP500 versus the Sectors

Anyone want to bet on the "Sector Dogs"?

The out performance by the Small and Mid Caps cause me to bet the other way for 2011 with Large Cap out performing.

Relatively speaking the USA markets did pretty well against the rest of the world.  I went with Europe being top developed markets for 2011.

Bonds had a crazy year in 2010, but 2011 with rising rates around the world and inflation expectations rising rapidly will be pretty easy:  Bonds with duration will produce negative returns.  The more duration you have, the larger your negative return will be.

Good luck in 2011, while the economy will muddle along dragged by the emerging markets, revelations of just how fiscally imprudent government (Federal, State and Municipal) has been and the financial liabilities they have racked up will shock the public causing a very negative reaction by taxpayers.
