Are you working on your shopping list?
I am not wasting time in this market turmoil, I am identifying and setting prices for my shopping list. The problem I am having is that the stocks are hitting my prices and then continuing to fall. I would like to demonstrate this problem with Whole Foods Market (WFMI): A top buy, when I feel comfortable buying, which is not now.

I am paying close attention to the price relative to the 200 day moving average. You must remember that the stock will put in its low before the moving averages trough. It is hard to imagine WFMI going below $35, but I can see a test of the April low. I like that it is trading below the 200 day and the increasing volume on the way down.
Organic food is worth the premium and I believe that WFMI is the best positioned company to take advantage of the better living through better eating movement. So what if Wal-Mart sells more organic food, I am suspicious of their relationship with the farmer. Organic food is not about the lowest possible price, it is about trust and the consumers relationship to the farmer. I do not want the farmer needing to cheat to make a living, because if he does cheat, it is my life and health that is being cheated.
Whole Foods is on my shopping list and I believe we are close to a buying opportunity. Which side of the trough do you buy on? Does the April low hold? If it doesn't, how low can she go? A copitulation volume spike above 30 million shares would trigger a buy signal below a share price of $40. Get ready, the time to pull the trigger is getting near.
