Is Cisco breaking out?

Bloomberg TV interviewed John Chambers, Chairman and CEO of Cisco Systems a couple of Friday's ago when he was in New York City accepting an award from Former President Clinton.

Mr. Chambers discussed balance - across business lines and the globe but he mentioned how one business segment was exploding.  That right, video over the internet.  One comment he made is just sticking in my mind, it went something like 'most fortune 500 businesses will do 20 video conferences in a year, at Cisco, we have done 23,000 so far this year'.  Wow - that is simply staggering.

It is my belief today that when CSCO broke above the $29.50 level it broke out.  So you have missed the first 10 percent of what could be a 100 percent move should you buy or not?  Frankly, I created True North Video Production, LLC because video over the internet is going to be the next big thing and much faster broadband speeds are available to more humans with disposable income.

Buy this morning, closing price was $32.71.

CSCO is the most obvious choice but there are many other opportities also.  Adobe is positioned to reap huge benifits also with Flash and Premire Pro.  Apple is at the nexus of content creation and internet distribution, how could you be better positioned for explosive growth over the next three years.  Let me be the first to say that Apple will achieve a 15 percent market share of the PC market in the next three years.  Look out Dell and HP.  Speaking of ones to look out for, AVID is one to avoid.  Once the mainstay of the commercial and professional video production companies and news entities, other software companies are eating AVID's lunch.

Depending on your risk level, I would put CSCO in a portfolio of ETF's and exchange Large Cap US, up to ten percent of SPY and if you own XLK I would swap up to 25 percent of it.

This theme will play out over many industries in the future changing consumer behavior forever.  Top Chef, their blogs and my wife's rapt attention is an example of a sinergy someone should take notice of.
