I was just running a two year chart on WFMI and it looks like it could be breaking out of a two year down trend. With the acquisition of Wild Oats, WFMI is much bigger with a much broader footprint. Look for strong growth in revenue and income driven by negative news headlines on chemically grown food products and positive science reports suggesting significantly lower cancer rates for those who eat organic.
People are just now waking up to the negative impacts of herbicides, pesticides, antibiotics, chemical fertilizer and other junk that has been the mainstay of the industrialized agro-business in producing our food.
Organic, non-genetically modified foods are worth the premium and smart people are willing to pay it.

Despite the goof-ball antics of John Mackey, I would agree with your assessment of Whole foods.
